Quick Rolled Oats #21 JAS

Quick rolled oats (sometimes called instant oats) are made from kilned, steel-cut oats, processed by steaming and flaking. They are cut smaller than traditional oats making them faster cooking, but also putting them slightly higher on the GI scale. These are the oats most commonly eaten in the UK, similar to Scottish or Irish oats, and can even be cooked by adding to boiling water, covering, and leaving for a few minutes. No stove or microwave required!
