Cinnamon stick

When the inner bark of the cinnamon tree’s young shoots are wrapped around thin rods and dried, they form the defining quills of cinnamon sticks. Cinnamon’s strong spicy warm fragrance adds an aromatic sweetness to your baked goodies and hot drinks. Combines well with clove, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, and orange peel and is traditionally used for Christmas puddings and mince pies. While often associated with desserts, savory dishes also benefit from the depth of flavor cinnamon brings (Cinnamon sticks are added to make the broth for Vietnamese Phở Gà).
