Kinako Walnuts

We’re also particular about the organic walnuts we use—we source them raw from California, where they slowly ripen in the mild climate and fertile soil, allowing their rich flavor to become concentrated. The variety is Chandler. Among the many walnut varieties, Chandler is characterized by its beautiful creamy color, rich flavor, and soft shell. The kinako (roasted soybean flour) is made from soybeans grown in Hokkaido. By roasting them thoroughly to the core using a hot-air roasting method, we bring out a gentle yet rich soybean flavor. It comes in a convenient resealable bag for easy storage.
