Classifications

"STORED"
You will find this written in the details of all items and indicates how that product is stored in our warehouses. For the most part we recommend shipping frozen items frozen, and cool items cool, but give you the final say in how your order is shipped.


"ORGANIC CLASSIFICATION"
JAS is the official logo for a product that has been certified organic by Japan.
OG indicates a product that is certified as organic in its country of origin but has not been certified within Japan.
OI indicates a product that is made using organic ingredients but these make up less than 95% of the final product.
If a product has no classification this indicates either there is no organic standard for that item, such as salt, or the product has never been certified. This is especially true for our smaller suppliers as certification is an expensive and complicated business making it less easy for them to gain organic status

"INGREDIENTS"
These are correct to the best of our knowledge. If you are concerned about any product please call us before ordering.


"PRODUCT NOTES"
These indicate any special dietary classifications such as 'dairy-free' or 'wheat-free'. These are only intended as a guideline to allow easy searching of our products.
